Who liked Green Day's American Idiot Album??

i liked it except for the hits because they were overplayed and got old fast but the rest of the album rocks especially Jesus of Suburbia

 

i have a friend who 'plays' guitar... and he always does the same 2 songs: 'champagne supernova", which normally i like, and that godawful 'boulevard of broken dreams' song, which i despise. i guess i hate it cause i cant get away from it

 

Green day sucks at playing musical instruments.

No, they don't sound british at all. But I don't think they want to. I think they are all just gay together and the music they publish is what they came up with when they were butt-fucking. It sounds kind of like butt-fucking, and so far, its the theory I've accepted.

 

I hate Greenday, mind you I always hate the kind of music they play, I just think it sounds retarded.

 

They've had that sound since before Dookie...

 

Yeah, but it just comes through even moreso now than it did before. It wasn't so painful previously. That thing that pop-punk bands do with their voices is just so...annoying and unnecessary. I'm not a big Green Day fan and never have been, I just think they sound more pop-punk now than they used to.

 

Haha, I think it was just 'cos pretty much nobody else did it back then... they started this crap.

 

Those bastards! Haha...at least at one point in time they were sort of original? My philosophy is at least they aren't Good Charlotte....oh how I hate that band with a passion that burns like a urinary tract infection in advanced stages...

All of those soundalike bands need to be crushed by a meteor... that'd be something to see.

 

Maybe we should just send them to procreate on a different planet? Nonviolent AND funny. Problem solved!

At least Green Day arent too unbearable, but it also seems as if they think they have a larger more serious audience than the teens who buy their albums.

I loved it. I really liked the new direction they went into making a rock opera. You don't see many of those these days. It's one of my favorite cd's. But I still can't decide which ones better: American Idiot, or Dookie.
