Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. EDIT: On a more attainable note, I would like to add River Phoenix... minus the drug addiction and overdose of course...
John Lennon Anyone who I've ever learned from Anyone who has ever learned from me Those people are my heros. ♥
I don't see how anyone can have a 'hero. You can admire someone, things they accomplished, how they live their lives etc.By using the very word "hero" it puts someone on a pedestal that most likely they do not deserve.
I'm a fan of Clement Atlee, Tony Benn, George Bernard Shaw and Bertrand Russel, modern wise, same with Pythagoras ancientwise.
George Carlin is the one I can only really think of right now. There's a terrible amount of heroes but this man during my early teens lead me in an interesting direction.
I would have to say Neal Cassady and Jack Kerouac. They both have changed an aspect of my life all for the better.
My best friend Kaylin Mathews. She's my hero because she passed away a week ago today and now I'm not afraid of death anymore. That was a huge step in my life because when you're not afraid to die, it's hard to be afraid of much anything else.
