All those nameless and faceless men and women that have gone before me. From the first to die in Lexington to the last to die in Iraq. And Malcom X.
socrates, martin luther, martin luther king, terry gilliam, douglas adams, wozniak, ken kesey, and every person who society subjected to sick procedures (labotomies and such) "for their own good" in asylums of the past because they, by attrition saved me from having to undergo the same fate. <autistic\epileptic\athasmatic> julius ceaser for being the first known epileptic in history and finally herodutus for being the very first historian

This last guy almost made me want to barf with his lickspittling suck-ups to women.. barrfff. Hehe. just kidding guy - but seriously, women will not respect you if you keep it up. Off the top of my head come these names: Tommy Burns - Former HeavyWeight Champion of the World. Vancouver Boxer, conflicted about his profession and his spirituality working together. Finds a way (cleverly) to pass his title on to Jack Johnson, who basically broke the first US 'Colour Barrier' for all to come after. Martin Luther - Brass Balled Reformer who, unlike most people in this forum, DID SOMETHING about Religiousness, Legalism and Church Corruption. Using the Bible no less!!! Towards his later years gets easily antagonisable, making for some hilarious Don Rickles style insults at everyone from Jews to Priests and anyone getting on his nerves. John Knox - Pretty much same reasons as for Luther. Brass Balls from Wisharts protege who pretty much reformed Churches with Stormtrooper tactics. Used to beak off at people from his apartment in Edinbourough. Iraqi Voters - Can you even imagine a bunch of Duthies showing up at the polling station knowing that even one renegade loony was planning to throw a grenade that morning!!? If its 'raining' on US election days the turnout drops to less than 50%!!!!!!!!! Everyone Iraqi that voted should get sent a huge fucking medal of bravery! Also.. whoever that Chinese kid was who stood in front of that Tank in Tianammen Square. Gives me shivers whenever I see that footage.
i'd have to say ghandi. he stood up against a huge empire and won. he used peace and words to destroy the Queen. down with the queen!!!!!!!!!!
Also, Martin Luther. i know the post before me used it, but he also stood up against a huge empire. in a way, he was just like a hippy. down with conservatives!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Russian singer, poet and actor Vladimir Vysotsky. In a society where this was not easy, he expressed his own voice and the voices of an entire nation. Every day, he sacrificed himself to give others hope. He died at the age of 40, but will forever remain immortal.
