I don't think I have ever met any celebrities. After I graduated high school my Mom took me to New York City to see some broadway plays. After one of them, we came back to the hotel and shared an elevator with Ray Charles.

I shot a music video for some music industry lawyers of this bloke who they'd picked out to be "the next big thing" in the UK, and apparently what they say goes. so i guess i've met a proto-celebrity?

    also, Alan Moore.

My Dad was living in a communal house in Bath,Wiltshire, run by Richard Carr-Gomm,who was famous for setting up a network of houses across the UK for the lonely and dispossessed.I was very young and I don't remember it too well. They were in hiding due to some political intrigue and being helped by an underground network of friends to reach America.I was simply told "These are Haile Selassie's grandchildren" and they were kind of ushered away.I kind of grew up with some pretty hardcore anarchists.

most important? i'm tempted to be fascious and say myself.

i've met a number of writers, artists and entertainment people.

it would be pointless to name them.

i'm even related, somewhat distantly to one.

i think who is most 'important' or influential may be somewhat in the eye of the beholder.

i really can't pick any one person i would consider most important.

i think the most important people are those who make other people think.

i've met several of those too. as if my meeting them had jack to do with anything.

like gosh wow, someone's a big deal because someone else has heard of them.

    give me an effing break.

Having worked in the film industry for more than 45 years, the list is endless. Perhaps my fondest memories are of Fred Zinnemann on Julia and a man for all seasons. Both Mel brooks and Barbara Streisand stand out as great personalities. Not forgetting Richard Attenborough who I worked with for 35 years. He was the person behind the funding for one of my theater constructions. Film premiers also brought me into contact with several members of our Royal family. People often do nor realize that they go to the cinema and theater quite a lot. A close friend of mine ran the cinema where Dianna took William and Harry to their Saturday picture treat every few weeks. While they were watching the cowboys and Indians, she was in the office drinking tea.

Most pop stars are a pain in the butt, not to mention having to open the doors extra wide to get their head through.
They should attend a Royal Film Performance and take a lesson from the Queen who follows the person escorting her to the second, knowing that he has to lead her into the auditorium the exact moment that the trumpeters open the royal fanfare and the television cameras focus on her entry..
