Who is cooler? Liars or people who tell the truth?

Telling the truth will always win over lies.

 

I'm not sure if politicians and a lot of public relations people would agree.

Unfortunately, some private individuals think lying is the way to go, with their general lives. Pathetic, but thats what they are...

 

I'm a terrible liar,but I also think I'm pretty cool in my own way.Not that coolness is something I aspire too.In fact coolness makes me cringe somewhat.As a word it has become very weak and is a password to boring.Sometimes people learn to lie out of necessity,then it becomes habit.

 

Liars and thieves are cut from the same cloth. Cool has zilch to do with it.

 

Truthers are bestest...;-)

 

people who tell the truth, because it takes more guts to do so.

people condemn each other for refusing to tell themselves the same lies as they do, so liars are taking the easy way out.

Where im from, 'I call it as I see it' is usually dead on 9 times out of 10. If it walks like a duck, Quacks like a duck, Chances are its a fuckng duck and if you need more reasoning, You are a day late and a dollar short up stairs.

Liar's are fun to listen to and tune out too. Its easy to sift through who is and who is a normal person. Everyone lies, But its to the extent of the lie(s) that make the stupid shine.

Where im from, You run across the jack of all trades, Master of none. A guy who can go from a tractor discussion, To his experience with nasa. Jumps around and cant really hold a conversation.
If they think its cool, Put your money where your mouth is. In my area we don't have time for 'a song and dance' and you will be called out quickly.

To each their own, Different in all areas of the world except the people who try/have to lie to fit in or be 'cool'. But little lie's like, 'No that shirt and pants match and don't make you're ass look huge' isn't hurting anyone, And is a true asshole if the truth be said.
IMO that's common sense and respect for others personal feelings. If it is truly bad and you have to say somethine, Romantic elegance on eggs shells is your best bet.

Truth is preferable. Given that those who are spouting the truth also have some decorum of social skills.

Unless it's a variation of "No dear, you don't look fat in those pants" when asked by a loved one.

Even then, it's more wise than cool.

 

I don't feel the need to be rude or mean to people- like, if I don't like someone... I don't feel the need to offend them by telling them that. It's not important who I like or don't like. (I also do not feel the need to kiss someone's ass or pretend to like them if I don't either- I just don't need to say anything to someone about how I feel if I don't like them.)

Anyways, I can't stand liars and prefer honesty always.

 

Who is cooler? Ambient temperature has a greater impression than how we represent ourselves.

I can say-honestly-that I used to have a girlfriend.
...but like a prat,I told her the truth.

For some reason,me saying "The last time I saw an arse like that,Lester Piggot was whipping it!" just wasn't appreciated.

I can also say with honesty-she had a right hook George Foreman would be proud of.

 

Growing up...i was told by my parents, your better of with a thief than a liar..a thief you know will steal from you, a liar, you never know them for sure!...ive kept that sentiment all my life..
So its truth for me...unless it would cost a life sorry ma and pa...i added that bit..

 

"Plain talkers" are usually just people full of spin ie shite and lies.

People who are genuine are able to be truthful, diplomatic, measured and tasteful.
