who here makes their own candles?

I love making them... beeswax candles are the easiest to make and are so colourful and smell so sweet while burning... I love candles...

i tried, i really did. but my candles dont seem to want to burn no matter what i do to them. i'm using beeswax and wicks that were given to me by someone who uses the exact same beeswax and wicks to make candles that are sold in a little store. i dont know what i'm doing wrong. our power went out for a while last night, and i had to burn nasty assed paraffin candles bc my beeswax ones wouldnt burn.

 

I love making all kinds of different candles.
nimh, are you priming your wicks first?

 

they're coated with wax, if that's what you mean by priming.
