My late maternal grandfather had a trace of Irish. My maternal grandmother and my (poor-excuse-of-a) father are French-Canadian the whole way. My sister's two sons are Polish from their father. Well, I guess there's no Blarney Stone here.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. Pretty sure not the entire population is Irish. Just saying...
no one here has claimed to be 100%.. you should do some genealogy research. its amazing the amount of irish that came to this country in the 1800's. if your ancestry goes back that far in the united states its a pretty sure bet that you have SOME irish in you. especially if your in or from the southeast. early georgia for example was basically a area specifically for the poor irish to settle. lots and lots of "greens" in this state,my mothers side of the family are part of those "greens" that came here in the early 1800's.
OMGZ I'm like soooooooooo 1/56 Irish. I must go drink green beer and exclamate my Irishness!!!!!!!!!!! There's some geology for ya!!!!!!!
i have some irish blood on both sides, and my last name is scotch-irish.. but i don't really look that irish, although i do have a tendency to drink copious amounts of alcohol. i'm also german-swiss, grecian, english, and native american.
i was born in ireland along with both my parents, but moved to canada because it was dangerous at the time to live in Northern Ireland. Other than the red hair, i'm an irish dancer, singer, and i play the fiddle. Google Rose of Tralee, i have an audition THIS week for it!!! Wish me luck!! <3
