Who has more control of our thinking; God or Satan?

I don't doubt you there. Horrible creatures often get called horrible names.

Evil is embodied by many things
Satan is an embodiment of evil
The universe was Chaos before the Lord set it in order
Chaos from whence all things, Good & Evil, are sprung

Just as the Fire light is sprung from darkness
And casts a world of shadow around it
So our world is much like this shadow world
Abounding from Darkness
Filled with Light

You are given the choice
You have the knowledge of good and evil
