I haven't met anyone from these forums either. By the way I don't know why this is called hip forums as all the modern libertarians are descended from the anarcho punks of the 1980s not the 60s hippies. Though hippies were libertarian in outlook their movement died out around 1972. The remaining hippies like Richard Branson going into big business and becoming part of the system they were so against just a few years before. between 1972 and late 1979 laternative lifestyle and libertarianism went out the window. It was the second generation of punks after the late seventies lot in the early 80s who revived libertarian ideas and alternative lifestyles. Followers of bands like Crass, Discharge, Dead Kennedys, Conflict, Icons of Filth, Flux of Pink Indians who created a real alternative scene. While the original late 70s punks went on to be pop millionaires just like the previous pop stars they had first claimed to be against.
I would post a list of all the people I've met, but I really can't be bothered counting up. Maybe I'll have a go when I have a little more time.
