meleah told me last night that she was going to let her hair grow long enough to donate it. I hope she follows through. I'm glad she is turning out to be compassionate. I guess I'm doing something right.
The Pixie is really different now, than it was in the 60s. Now, it's cute, and kinda shaggy uneven. In the 60s, unless you were Twiggy, you looked like a boy. (Come to think of it, Twiggy did look like a boy.) I've seen the newer Pixie and it looks cute on some girls, but, like you said, girls with chubby faces look better with hair that draws the eye down, not out. But, like boogiemama said, every child should be free to choose their own hair style. (With the exception of skin head look, in our area, that gives off a political connection, that I reallly wouldn't want on my boy, but, luckily, he, nor his freinds, have Facist ideas. ) Oh, no. The Dorthy Hammill? No wonder you never cut yours, either. My hair, Bear took this. It doesn't get any longer. Not the best pic, but as I usually womyn the camera, about the only one I have. Moon's hair, a few years ago. It's still about as long, but she just had a Salon do some bangs and stuff. Don't have a picture yet.
do most little girls really care if they look like a boy, or was I just odd that way? *shrug* I was also very feminine and petite, never could pass for a boy even with a crewcut and boy's clothes... hated that! Trying to find a photo of me at three the day after I cut my own hair and Mom had to fix it, but the disc I saved it on has locked me out of my cd drive and my scanner no longer works.
