Who do you like to debate and discuss with the most on hip forums?

Anyone. I love it.

 

i get sick of debate, usually. so i just state my pov and move on. i may toss in a couple more, keep reading the thread to see the developments if they interest me, then i kinda lose interest. not much point in carrying on. seems the debates all run the same pattern. a couple of posts referring ot each other, then quoting, the quoting and arguing with each line item in the quote, then name calling and someone gets banned. meh.

 

Debates online are more relaxing and clear. In person debates a lot of things get in the way of clear communication like body language, emotions, looks, voice tones, feelings, and other things.

 

one of the problems i've noted in any debating is that people start taking disagreements personally, forgetting that just because you may disagree on a couple points that you may very well agree on a lot of points. i've also seen arguments where people actually agree with each other on the main topic but get so caught up in the minutea that they drive each other crazy over it and end up hating each other. i know i've done this (much to my embarassment) many times. but i finally remember that in the end, the people i like the most are usually the ones that i disagree with best, and they usually end up my friends. people i agree with all the time end up being somewhat dull to me and i lose interest. i'm sure there's some psychological disorder that deals with this, but then, there always is.

 

It depends on the subject, I think I could hang out with about anyone on here.

I like to debate about anything that will educate me. It is always nice to hear other opinions on things
