that depends greatly on the context of the thread for me..

leaving any thread in random thoughts completely out of the equation i would say the wittiest and most intelligent posters always keep me reading.so that being said, i enjoy rats,and kc's posts as well as stinfoots,relayer as of late just makes me go WTF?? lol,umm,free in alaska,old wolf damn like i said theres so many depending on the context of the thread..

i guess thats the top of my list though...

things are great,works gettin slow but im still able to put back so its all good. adjustin to the sober life quite well,dilli has BIG plans for the gardens this year,we downsized the goat herd cause of the drought,same old same old,workin towards self sufficiency never seems to end,sure is a joy though..

i was wondering how you guys were doing out there with the drought. is it getting any better?

 

I know down here we still have three inches to go.....but oh look it's raining outside.

 

ahhhhh. that's nice. i like rain. i miss rain. all we get is snow that melts. it doesn't sound as good.

 

And I'm kinda jealous that you got a nod from HHB.

 

you SHOULD be. i miss our neighbor's goats. the bottle fed ones were great pets. the rest were fun to chase around and harass.

sorry for the delay,storm came through an knocked out the connection for a minute..

yeah the drought has eased up a little,the springs runnin from its normal head again,the ponds full and the seasonal creek down by the big garden is running again,but none of it is where it should be this time of year,so we still need a bunch more rain to get the ground water levels back to normal.. we were 44 inches below normal in rainfall here last year,a few weeks of average rain is nice but we need it to keep comin through the summer or everything will get dry quick..

on the goats,all our girls are very friendly,well actually our two boys are as well,i guess all our animals are pets,till we eat them..

 

there was this one goat i could never eat. his name was starbucks. he'd show up and my front door every morning and knock. he wanted his morning pat on the head and access to our litter box. he loved that kitty litter. i was happy to give it to him. it cleaned him out and he cleaned out the litter box. i have the best picture of kai giving him his morning pat on the head. she was just 2-1/2 or barely 3.

at any rate, after he ate all that kitty litter, i'd never eat him.
