I guess Leonardo Da Vinci would be my favorite. His biblical themes and war machines, although I hate war, resonate with who I am. I paint a little, draw a little, have always embraced the beauty in life, and have been making weapons since I was about 10 years old ... I started drawing about age 5 when one of my drawings was placed in the local news paper. I see life in two extremes. I view god the same. Life is love life is wrath. God is love god is wrath, and everything in-between like life, which is how I view god. God is life, so is art. Life is art as and art is creation and a creator .... like god. I'm bipolar ... I wonder if that has anything to do with my perspective? Leonardo Da Vinci ... I think I could be a lot like him, given his life work.
Falic symbolism is everywhere ... I guess the flowers would be called the same right? If not, what's the term? It's the natural nature of life isn't it? You know .... To create life from life.
I wonder if the universe were folded And time were as if it stood still Timeless repeating groundhog day Of a day could be heaven or even hell for real Salvador Dali has a way of expressing this in my opinion.
Tommy Depaola and Maurice Sendak because they inspired me to draw as a child and Akira Toriyama and Masashi Kishimoto for inspiring my art style.
Had a book of Mucha's work and biography. Took me a lonnnnnnnng time to return it to the library. There seems to be beauty in all things. Dark and light. *edit
I've always sought out approval from man. My maker is the only one I seek approval from. Man can not do what God does. ALPHA AND OMEGA Sees all, knows all things. Don't mean to preach but that's on my heart and mind.
As a kid I used to love to watch the TV show Good Times which by that point was in syndication, and enjoyed the works of Ernie Barnes, the real artist behind James JJ Evans Jr.
Not going to list all of them but two that immediately come to mind are Zdzislaw Beksinski and Henry Fusseli
