    Hello,

    yummy.

I would do. I had baked and eaten my self-made cake before. And I magically survived and so can you ;). The sad part of the story is that I lack some ingredients. I need some raisins or chocolate sprinkles or such stuff to mix into the dough.

    Hello,

they are a soft and foamy sugar mass pressed into the shape of mice. I'm not sure, but perhaps they are similar to marshmellows?

    Hello,

hm, I can't remember the dolphins. But I dimly remember chewing gum ciggies. As a five year old with a pack of chewing gum ciggies you are the coolest kid in your street ;).

    Yucky.

I don't really remember buying candy as a kid, but I do remember that Red Cross used to hand out these all the time:

And we would wait in line to get chocolate and now that I think about it, it was kind of fun to be a refugee.

    Dear Piaf,

might I ask if you remember pre-war time and about your life then?

At the canteen at my university one could take four supplements with the main meal: rice, paste, salad, dessert etc. Often I took only rice and a dessert with my undefinable meat thingy. That was enough to feel queasy... For the last two supplements I often choose the mini chocolate. But you couldn't choose the flavour. So I often ended with the yellow or the blue ones which I don't like. I like the red ones best. And the rum flavoured ;). On our way back to the offices we swapped the chocolate: two blue ones for a red one etc. Ah, auld lang syne.

    Dear Piaf,

OK. I can't remember that far back, too. I even can't remember what the first thing in my life is that I can remember ;). Occasionally pictures or situations from primary school and later pop up. A lot is forgotten or driven away.

    Regards
    Gyro
