I had my second dose of the Moderna vaccine so in about two weeks I should be fully protected.

Did you have any kind of reaction to the first or second dose? Did you have Covid previously?

I got the moderna. Why? I was invited to. Simple choice. The biotech people I know favor the mRNA approach. So that's handy. Thank God for the previous administración for spurring this development and setting it up for success!

Good point. Science is a methodology. It's sensible and real things are discovered. But regular people have no access to the actual experiments and have to rely solely on what they're told. And we often have two scientists with opposing views on complex topics we'd never be able to sort out for ourselves so we're left to pick sides to believe. And we tend to pick the side we're predisposed to believe and call the other side mad.

Pain for 24 hours at the site of the injection, and chills which lasted for a period upwards of 12 hours.

Same reaction to both shots? Or was one worse than the other?

Got my 2nd Pfizer a couple hours ago. Not feeling any side effects yet, not even a sore arm. Feels good to be fully immunized. :) I'll let you know if I feel worse later.

A couple hours after my last post my arm started feeling sore and this morning it bothers me. I took an ibuprofen and will spend the day putting an ice pack on it. Other than that I feel fine.

Going for my second 'shot' (Astra Zenica) on 28th. Over this side of the pond we have to wait 12 weeks between shots.

Yes they ARE trained to give shots. And it’s not the people who restock carrots giving the shots, it’s trained pharmacy workers. Good grief.

A grocery store with a pharmacy is no different than an actual pharmacy, so if you’re going to complain about Kroger Pharmacy then you have to complain about CVS and Walgreens giving them as well.

I’m not a Trump fan but 940,000 Americans were getting vaccinated every day when Trump left office. Trump was a buffoon, but Biden and Harris both made fools of themselves when they claimed the vaccine didn’t even exist when Biden took office. It was….embarrassing. And CNN claimed two days ago that Operation Warp Speed was created by Biden. People on both sides are stupid. Biden is as big a buffoon as Trump.
