I think we all realize Bush is bad, really bad. But I wouldn't go as far as to say he'd turn this country into a "fascist police state". That's a bit dramatic.

And I don't see the point in voting for someone you don't agree with.

And as far as why people would choose Bush if Nader didn't run, you have to look at this way. Not everyone who's voting for Nader are voting for him because he's very far-left and progressive. For instance, Muslims seem to overwhelmingly support Nader because of his stance on the Israel-Palestine issue. However, socially Muslims tend to be more inline with Bush, hence the reason they would also like him. I guess it depends on what issues are important to you. There could be republicans that are very fed up with the Iraqi war, and don't think Kerry or Bush could handle it in the way that it should.

Plus, the Reform party endorsed Nader, and that party has traditionally garnered alot of conservatives. I think alot of independents are really rallying behind Nader, and in some cases, he IS the only alternative to Kerry or Bush. There are other third party candidates in the race, but they may not have the ballot access that Nader has.

This will be the first in a series of looking into the archives of my posts and seeing what happened and what came to fruition!
