Which political system do you like best?

I've been a student of Political ideologies for a few years now and what to see a tally for myself.

As for mine I won't say.

I fond myself strangely torn between globalism and anarchy.

I like the notion of anarchy but far too many will probably use it as an excuse to domineer the weaker and less physically capable and simply band together in brutish hordes of knuckle-dragging barbarian hordes ala. the Road Warrior, but maybe after enough idiots had killed each other off things could settle down into some sort of global agrarian culture with mini-communes and homesteads dotting the planet and seperated by vast distances, but say goodbye to the internet and most of the "benefits" of modern society like advanced medicine and education

I think Globalism in an idealistic form would be good for humanity provided we were able to prevent the system from becoming corrupt, but when has Humanity ever been able to keep Politicians honest? Maybe with some sort of automated comuter system handling the laws and such ala Zeitgeist 3 but then even that seems a bit too close to Huxley's brave new world for comfort I suppose.

I guess I'll go for Anarchy after a massive thinning of the worlds population by Zombie hordes as usual. :cheers2:

 

Ryan will never live that one down. I don't care that it was 3:30 AM and he got arrested for protesting. There has to be a better answer than the one he provided.

The interesting thing is all the answers are excellent forms of Government. The one problem they all have is who do you get to run them. If for the people in charge, you can find people who won't be corrupted by power, are intelligent and have the best interests pf the people in mind, all governments work. Even anarchy depends on the people involved.

 

I truly like democracy. But our entitlements as constituents, the people, have been back washed and taken away more and more. I feel that we almost need to re-edit the constitution to appease the newer generations. The constitution was meant to be changed every so often. Most of the framers at the time even realized this, they allow for changes. Those in power find it helpful to them to not change it though, and cripple societies roles so they can stay in power, and manipulate the meaning.

 

The only good fascist is a dead one.

 

Anarchy all the way and that political theory is NO government. All others form around government in one way or another.

 

I like Democracy, but I have yet to see it practiced in the real world. Fact is, I like Communism as well, but I have yet to see Communism practiced the way Marx described it.

 

You know what I don't think any of the above political Systems have ever truly been practiced. Even Democracy I find lacking in Democracy.
LOL no one voted Fascist. I wonder if many people know what it is as an ideology as opposed to the mean authoritarian person as in the movie "The Trotsky". No ideology is bad what makes it bad is the people in charge. I pick no ideology for myself but aspects of various ones.

 

That would fall under the heading of Anarchy wouldn't it, picking and choosing one's own mix of ideological components on which to live by,,,

At least it would indicate to me no outside rule, self governing by one's own choices and self elected rules wether they are a part of another system or not.

 

I appreciate how Socialists don't get to vote. Nothing worse than hipforums developing a case of the Trots.

 

But instead we can allow the guided socialists like Ralph Nador to Jihadist voting. Can one's vote depend upon the determination for factual experience? Are the facts we experience to be regarded per truth value?


In such a format the relations of facts are never a truth. Instead we commit the truth by the knowledge of our own ego's. Knowing ourselves though; is that based ultimately upon false facts or true facts?


Therefore, we are ultimately free to choose our own destiny by a world no one knows for truth or not.

 

I wonder if the username SwastikaLady has anything to do with the political preference of the OPer....

 

Fuck Democracy. Political and social equality will never exist when government is in the picture. How many centuries of corrupt governments do you need to realize democracy does not work.

Don't listen to me though, you better go out and 'vote' since its your vote that always gets us somewhere in the right direction. Wars, Famine, Poverty just keep getting better through your voting.

 

If I'm one of the leaders I'd prefer communism

but as a mere peasant I'd prefer democracy
