I am rapidly going off alcohol. I drink a lot of water but I also drink a lot of Coca-Cola. Also coconut water.

I would like to find some kind of sweet drinks that are relatively healthy, to replace the Coke, which I know is unhealthy.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

You need to get Pinterest! Lost of recipies and other things on there.
Personally, I like water with some squeezed lemon in it. It's a bit sour tho.

Is it the fizz that you like or the sweetness or both?

You could buy soda water which is just plain fizzy water and then just add a bit of OJ or some other juice to it. That's the easiest thing to do unless you want to get into making fancy non alcoholic drinks that require more effort and ingredients.

    What about non alcoholic beer?

Its the taste of alcohol that I've gone off, partially, but also to lose some weight off my stomach. So non-alcoholic beer doesn't appeal.

It's not so much the fizz that I crave but the sweetness. And the icy cold in this hot weather.

I will try that lemon with water.

If you like fizz, as I do.....try seltzer...They have so many flavors of it, or get it plain and add your own dash of concentrate of something like cranberry, cherry,...or whatever you like to flavor it.

Um.. I usually get water, but when I feel like spending more I get iced tea. With that they usually bring sweetener if it isn't already on the table. Some iced teas are already sweetened though, so it's best to check before you dump in that aspartame, sucrose, or whatever sweetener they have. I use stevia extract if they have it. Don't know if that's any healthier than say Equal brand or Sweet'n'Low.

I drink more plain seltzer water than anything else. Takes some getting used to but now if I have a soft drink it tastes just plain gross.

I'm rediscovering my love of hot English tea. With milk. No sugar.

It's very refreshing if you're thirsty.

I have a well so can drink very cold water with no chlorine or whatever - Also Italian soft drinks that are 15% or better real juice - the odd Canada Dry

then as Mi Buttons sez - club soda with a bit of OJ or whatever.

I also buy frozen fruit - private brand or europe's finest or whatever and eat portions of it with yogurt - not liquid per se but also very refreshing

Ca ravigote! man (there's a circumflex over the 'o')

I love orange juice but people like Pressed Rat got me thinking there's too much sugar in it. I have borderline diabetes type 2 so I'm trying to get my health into shape.

I guess it's okay in moderation but I tend to be a bit of an extremist!

I got one of those infuser pitchers. Fill the caged area with sliced strawberries or kiwi or peppers. (Or anything but those are my favorites so far)
And after you are done drinking the water you have a nice fruity snack.

I saw lemon mentioned and I really liked mixing a couple sliced lemons with lemon lime flavored seltzer.

I have not drank any calories besides beer and a couple shots of tequila in the last 3 months and I am quite happy with what I been drinking.
    I won't say I won't drink soda again but I don't miss it.

my parents had a well, so we drank a lot of cold water with dead squirrels and groundhogs and whatever.

that's not to say it's necessarily a bad thing. there's probably a reason i have a strong immune system.
