I don't find the joke offensive, but I don't get it. Well, I guess I get it...Ethiopians faces are supposed to be covered in flies. There are a lot of flies in Ethiopia, or the people are too stupid to get the flies away. I don't think anyone in their right mind would ever hit somebody in the face with a frying pan.

Well, it seems she acknowledged the stereotype applied to a certain amount of girls from there, just not all of them by far (including herself).
