tobacco is probably the most harmfully addictive while being least rewarding of recreationally consumed substances.
carbonated beverages are best used for desoloving the calcium salt used to de-ice roads from automotive windshields.

many things are harmful, clearly some more so then others. to each their own poison, as long as you can poison yourself without poisoning others,
which is the problem with tobacco, is that second hand smoke really does poison others.

and aggressive inconsiderateness is why we don't have the freedoms that we don't, and where all the brain dead authoritarianism comes from.
some people just don't consider this, and some expect themselves to somehow get something worth tyranny being the price of it, and then wonder why its not the universe they live in.

i think imagination is the thing really, i mean diverse and freed from narrow familiar assumptions, and this whole pursuit of something you can consume as a substitute for it,
well again, i'm not wishing to just anyone, but since the question was raised, this is my own perspective in response to it.

the holy grail isn't what you consume, but what inspires you to conceptualize wonders and positive strangeness.

I don't even know what to say.. It's really hard. I don't drink cola at all but I've been smoking for 10 years.. It was bad for my health. I tried so many ways to quit but my addiction was to strong so I even visited my doctor to consult with him and find solution. He recommended a treatment. Chantix is the stuff he adviced me to use. I knew about some side effects but hopefully I avoided any futher problems and stopped smoking ( I hope for good)..

Both are equally harmful- one should not partake in either of these activities.

  7. Both harmful, but I'd have to go with cigs. I stick with water all day.

I used to drink 6 litres of Coke every day and I smoke 20 cigs a day, I ended up in hospital several years ago as part of something else, when they found out about the Coke they tested my bone density thinking it would be poor as Phosphoric Acid, a component of Coke is what is known as a 'Calcium stripper' in other words it removes the calcium from the bones and makes them weaker. They were amazed at how good my bone density is.
That said I think everyone is different and people react to things in different ways, I had two friends, both died in their 80's, one had never smoked in his life and he was riddled with cancer, the other one had smoked strong unfiltered cigs since he was about 14! The pathologist who did his post mortem actually remarked just how good this guys lungs were, so it makes you wonder doesn't it.

  10. People NEED to "get smart" on what to put in their bodies.....lazy lazy lazy, complain complain complain.

Drinking water is a filler, but not an excuse for smart foods...

There is SO MUCH info NOW with the net especially. No excuses.....

    Funny thing tobacco
Native Indians used it as a sacrament and did not to my knowledge have problems with it
most but NOT all of the issues stem from the additives and continual usage.
IOW tobacco in and of itself may not be that bad Cigarettes on the other hand are nasty

I gave up alcohol and drinking tons of coke to fulfill the stomach with asidic liquid in order to leave no place for alcohol fit in.

It's been only 17 days but I try my best not to drink any more. I also gave up tobacco but only 2 days ago. Lol.

I'd have to say Cigarette smoking.

Eddie van Halen died from throat cancer.

Although he attributes his cancer to chewing on a metal guitar pick for many years, he was in fact a chain-smoker and I think he was living in denial.
