I have always wondered which area would be best to live in. I don't have the money to do a lot of traveling. Which is better to live in the East Coast or the West Coast?
The Pacific Ocean is too cold for me, and they have all those fires and earthquakes. In the east, at least we can see the hurricanes coming days in advance. The Atlantic is warm everywhere south of Cape Hatteras, NC.
West coast/USA! A lot of open area to still roam around and be the only person for miles. I like the south and prefer it, But if I had to choose, Id be out west. Only time Id touch kommifornia is for family, Fun and the desert, They can have the rest of the shithole state. Id rather be in new mexico or Arizona.
Why would you go to the desert of California when you'd rather be in New Mexico or Arizona? Just wondering. Also, what about Texas?
I never felt comfortable on the east coast. It was like going backwards or something. Both sides of my family came out west in covered wagons and were pioneers in the west . In my genes, I guess to keep moving westward. The people in the state of Florida were really weird in my estimation. I was there in '78 through '84 when the Mariel boatlift happened. Haitians washing up on the shore of some of the richest people in america. Slack-jawed rednecks galore. Extreme right wing Cuban immigrants. I worked for people from the northeast and many of them tried to fuck me out of my money just as a matter of course. Also I have heard--don't know from experience--that you can't drive up the east coast without seeing people and buildings because the whole place is built up with no open spaces as the west coast has. Nope. West coast guy here.
I guess I didn't have to type all that I typed above. Simple answer=west coast=wide open spaces. East coast=PEOPLE,PEOPLE, PEOPLE.
well i only know west coast, though i was born on the other side, and all my relatives were over there when i was born. i'd say really it depends on wither you like dense human population, which i really see nothing positive in, or if you like mountains and trees and not being robbed of thinking your own thoughts. the latter being what i grew up with and where i live. even in the west there are large pockets of population density too of course, but at least were not like one messed up continuous city. better is a personal thing. its about what YOU want. but for me, i have no wish to get stuck in america's east coast region. i mean i'm still, in america, where you sort of either have to be a slave to a car, or be stuck in a city. world wasn't always like that. the world i grew up in wasn't. but people who worship money seem to think they're doing everyone else a favor by forcing it to be.
The reason for cali desert is more room in death valley with no one around! Has open areas for high speeds, Johnson valley if I want to rock crawl, Glammis, Ocotillo wells is where the scene is right now for mx/off road motorsports. I wont live there for the fact they will not get 44% of my money, No fuckin way! Ill use the state, Pay local tax, That's it. Texas, Well its dry, semi flat and rocky. Too much for 80mph+/- on a quad. Good for wheeling, But also a lot of true racists and 'everything is bigger in texas' IMO is compensation lol. Im down for the PNW, Never been there for anything. Id love to take my rig up the mountain roads/fire roads and scenery. I don't take too many pictures when I do these expeditions for the fact, I saw it with my own eyes, You should too! I like the wetness appeal for some reason, Don't bother me much. I hope to reach the Olympic peninsula and surrounding areas! New mexico has the best all around and will most likely be the destination. Everywhere you look, 4x4's, And they are needed for use in the area. The rock crawling is great with the chili run when its usually 110+/- out lmao. But I would like to try to make it in a different area of the country. Plus the warmth and dry climate might give my sinus a break.
