Not really much in the way of civilization, and didnt bother trying to get weed anywhere.

But the hike through Kīlauea Iki Crater is trippy shit

A rain forest on the equator.

I've read that the night sky does a 180 degree turn (Moon and stars) at the equator.

    Sounds cool.

Definitely true! Always talk to the people at the hostel or local bar. But I know from experience that it never hurts to read a little into the destination you're going to. Especially if you are interested in history and local culture. Sure, you'll read about the wellknown touristy stuff first but you will also gain a little more understanding in advance of a foreign culture and place. Very helpful at times if you have limited time and wish to explore especially that stuff.

I mean for example: I have looked at 6th century old wall paintings in an old Istanbul church and I wouldn't have gotten so much out of it if I didn't read up on it before. In fact I would not have known at all what I was looking at :p and would solely have to go with what the crappy english speaking guide (that wasn't officially guiding us) could tell a group of 30 people in a building with very bad acoustics.
Now I had a fascinating time looking at every wall of that church. Same with just walking through century old streets. If you have read up on the culture, history and architecture you will see so much more details you know a little about because of a good book you read before. For me it is really worth the effort!

I was just looking at a friends pictures of a Danube weekend cycling from Vienna to Bratislava. Now this is a cool idea, I wouldn't mind doing something like that.

    Yeah, a while ago.

Went to several Eastern European countries with the inter-rail tickets.

any place there are trees, trains, mountains, and no one gives a shit about your ideology or beliefs. if there is any such place.

pretty much every place on the planet that has trees, trains and mountains i would love seeing. (and other then the one i grew up in, most of them i haven't and don't entirely ever really expect to)

This guy I used to work with from Eastern Europe said girls from the Czech Republic have the most beautiful vaginas.

So I would like to go there

I hear that all the time too, well not about vaginas but the girls in general and I disagree wholeheartedly. The best city I've seen for good looking women was Krakow and I'd take a Swedish vagina over a Czech vagina any day.

I really don't get the "hot" look Czech girls are meant to possess and then their accent like their chewing on their tongue or something. I wasn't impressed with Prague in general so maybe I'm bias, but nothing in that country did anything for me, not even the girls... Not even the booze.
