Yeah. Oakland does have some interesting parts. There are almost like little villages on the outskirts between Oakland and Berkeley. Like down on College Ave. In that area it seems like every couple of blocks is another little village type area with cute little shops. Hilltop Mall in Richmond is in kind of a surreal spot. If you look in one direction it's ghetto. In the other it's trailer park (kind of white person ghetto). C/S, Rev J
Ain't shot here less than 150 a night. Check tenderloin area but if your not used to drug addicts and homeless you may shot your pants. Check Oakland and take BART
i just heard today that due to housing prices in sf, people are buying boats and mooring them offshore to live in because it's cheaper than paying rent.
History of S.R.O. residential hotels in San Francisco When I first lived there in the early 80s I lived in an SRO before I found a place to stay.
Why not pitch a tent on the sidewalk where bathroom facilities are readily available? San Francisco is spending North of 65 million on street cleaning in an effort to remove human feces, hypodermic needles and garbage from it's streets.
Cheap? Yeah dont stay in SF unless you stay in the Tenderloin. Dont stay in the Tenderloin. Some posters mentioned places like Berkely. Yeah, that's gonna be your best bet. Or.. for like $50 a night you can crash on my couch. Walking distance to J town and the Filmore. Plus, I cook a mean breakfast I know this post is old af but LMAO "cheap place to stay in SF"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In the woods? You might just as well stayed in one of the many homeless encampments.......
