Where to move?? Charlotte, NC? Las Vegas, NV?

Looking to move from northern VA in the DC/DMV area. I want a change of scenery, slighter cheaper with a bit more chill atmosphere but still has a good stoner scene. I want warmer weather, a slightly slower pace of life, diversity, good live music, and good food options. I'm a single black female, 29, with a cat. I have a good job that's remote and can keep my salary no matter where I move but I do want somewhere that would be easy to get a job if that ever changed.

I was thinking Charlotte, NC but worry that the stoner scene may not be the best. I know Las Vegas seems like a far cry from that but I was thinking there too because I like the idea of living along the quieter outer skirts, the free stoner scene is attractive. I didn't care to live in Atlanta when I visited. New Orleans also seems amazing but I worry about the weather and job availability.

Looking and considering all input and suggestions.

Nevada is growing, not my cup of tea but it is for those who can't afford CA anymore...

If you choose NC, make sure you take your bible....

 

Been to NC.....still a fair amount of regressive thinking. In Las Vegas it’s only a trip to CA for legal weed, abundant sunshine, and real mountains. I’ll bet the enforcement of pot laws if any, it not on the radar screen.

 

I've been hearing that the surrounding areas of Charlotte have regressive thinking but that Charlotte is pretty chill...not sure though I'll be visiting both before making any decisions!

 

I thought I wanted to leave CA and thought of Raleigh and after spending a week in the humidity and bugs and bibles, I ran back to CA and realized it was ME and Not CA that was screwed up in mind about leaving.
