I know not to keep them in my wallet that’s like rule number one. But where iv been keeping them is in my inside pocket of my leather jacket. I wear a thick coat underneath my leather jacket. (Leather being my outside coat). Would this be okay to keep doing? Normally I’ll buy a box of 12 and keep them in there for whenever I need them. I go through them pretty frequently so they shouldn’t be going through the same conditions as a wallet right? They do get warm from being in my coat I’m sure but they don’t get moved around in order to have holes worn through the rubber I would think. Any suggestions? If I’m missing something please let me know.
A good quality condom should be packaged in an air tight foil package. The lubrication on the condom protects it from wear in the package so moving around causing damage is extremely rare. Quality condoms do have an expiration date on them. Discard them if they are past that date or if you cannot read the date. Condom breakage usually occurs from these issues: Improper placement on the penis such as not creating a semen bag at the tip. Lack of lubrication of the penis before sliding the condom over it. I always have her place a few drops on the head before putting the condom over it. Insertion into a dry vagina or losing lubrication during intercourse. I've only had one condom break out of many. She noticed as she felt something rolling up inside. I simply pulled out, snapped the damaged one off, lubed up again, and slid a new one on. (Note: we were using them to prevent pregnancy, not an STI) So having one, I suggest two, at the ready in your jacket pocket is fine. I always carry an extra in case of the rare case of breakage.
I kept mine on racks in the garage. Using more than 1000 a day, it was difficult to fit them all into my pockets.
Finding all the used ones would have been a problem. They were all taken to Heathrow airport where as part on a UK government HIV program we used 50 million a year. altogether we use 167 million per year in the UK. I was involved in the program for 12 years, during the recession when work on theater restoration ground to a halt. Condoms were cheaper than theater tickets, so the great British public stayed at home.
PS, We talked about recycling, but Jane was worried about clogging up the washing machine. I offered to wash them, as long as she did the ironing.
glove compartment. I used to have a dental dam in there too, just in case... But yea. It makes sense. Your car usually goes wherever you are.
It's hard to believe somebody couldn't figure this out for themselves and had to ask this question...
i never said anything about taking it off. a nuclear bomb would have a hard time getting through all the condoms i've got on right now.
