they are content knowing and believing what they believe, and probobly no body will take that away, just as no one will take it away from you.. i dont know why that lots of people on here preach the Truth both ways, we both know the sides of each argument, its not like one magical day, someone will just throw down their guard and randomly convert one way or another, and if so, good for them lets try and have a civil discussion where we dont condemn people, or use put-downs thenk you
please..you say you are the cause? they why are talking to me like i'm the devil...you know nothing of me or my life..you are very belittling..people like you make me sick...you stand be hind the cross...step up and stand in front of it..blah
I don't think there is much love on this forum coming from either side of the table, christian or non. Lots of judgement though... But then again I don't think that this forum is necessarily supposed to be about love, it is about christianity. And I think many of the more negative or angry people (that aren't christian) are jaded about the whole christian experience. Not to mention you don't automatically get everyone's love just because you are a christian. I certainly don't get automatic love being agnostic in a christian culture! But let me ask you a question: Why only act christian on a christianity forum? All your other posts are filled with (what christians would generally consider) vile language and innappropriate subject matters. Can you behave how you want only as long as you act christian later? Do you think being a christian gives you a license to behave how you want as long as your god forgives you later?
Okay, not much of an answer, but... ...are you talking about this post? The one that makes it sound like you can act how you want as long as you repent? Because just reading through your posts in other forums since you made this one you have used plenty of the same language and attitude most practicing christians would not associate themselves with. Not that I have a personal problem with your language, but I am not the one claiming to be christian. Nor am I the one wondering where the "love" is... Christians gain their "love" through the example they give to the world. Christ in the bible was zealous, but at the same time was kind, honest, chairitable, forgiving, and loving. He tought that christians should turn the other cheek, that christians should be set apart from the world, and lead by example. The christians that drag the anger out of people are the hypocrites. Examples of hypocritical behavior? How about this: Just a couple posts after this: You post in another forum thins like this: and You made all these posts the same day, in fact the same hour. Again, these are things I have no problem with anyone saying. But I am not the one claiming to be christian, and naming others who call me on it hypocrites...
the first little paragraph about you believing what you want, and everyone else believing as they want was refering to your "what are you doing?" thinger... the short paragraph and last sentance was about this place in gerneral...i try to be civil, but still, i admit, i sometimes had got out of control, but im trying to change my ways hope this clears thigns up paperclip
*hugs* Theres no love because most people's idea of Christians and Christianity in general are based on negative experiences with negative Christians that screech and scream that if you do ANYTHING you are destined for hell and damnation. So many people have been led to believe that God sits up in heaven with a big stick just waiting for you to screw up so he can bash you over the head. I consider myself a Christian but a very liberal one. Chrstians have driven people away from God by their closed mindedness and their inability to see anything from anyone else's perspective. We as a Church condemn people based on a book that was re-written and edited by rich white men. I belive that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a God of love and understanding, not a God of condemnation and wrath. I really cant blame people for hating Christians so much. Even if we disagree with people we must still LOVE them. You gotta give a little love to get a little love.
Wow. You put that so eloquently. I for one am impressed and humbled by such a well expressed opinion. Thank you so much for enlightening me. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside knowing how well our schools are doing.
I feel no need to elaborate other than saying that your post was a crock of shit. That's all. Over and out.
why are you stalking anyway? freak..don't 'you have any thing better then to follow me around to try and "prove" my love for god is not true? ha..what an idot..like i said in the post about..you're not even a christian so who are you to tell me anything about god?
Actually I wouldn't have looked at your previous posts had someone else not mentioned them. And then I just found it interesting after reading them that YOU were throwing the word hypocrite around. I wasn't trying to prove your love for god wasn't true. I never even claimed that. I may not be a christian, but I was educated baptist, and I am very well aware of what the bible says about how a christian should behave. And they don't make a habit of calling people bitches just because they are antagonizing them. Again, not that I care...you were the one asking for the love. You are a little egotistical to think I am following you around, I have only posted in one of your threads, and one where you were asking a question that I answered. I asked why you seemed to think that you could act however you want as long as you repent because it had to do with your own topic. Where's the love? Well, what kind of example do you think you are setting as a christian when you have a more foul mouth than your average atheist? And then you wonder about the love? Well the love isn't owed to a person just because they are a christian, it is the people that are the examples of christ that are the appreciated christians in our culture. The kind, charitable, moral, friendly, non-judgemental, loving christians are great examples for the religion. You asked where the love is, and my questions were ment to give you some example of why the love may be missing. And BTW, this is a forum for discussions on christianity, not a forum just for christians. I do believe there are private forums geared for christians, If that is something you were looking for, but I don't have any info on which they are and how to sign up for them...perhaps someone else does?
i'm sorry i didn't read your post..after i saw "educated baptist" i stopped..i can't stand the baptist religion..i was born in baltimore and raised in germany...and raised lutheran..after living down here in the south and seeing how "baptist" are..i have no respect fot them.
