the same with this one if it were my turn, I'd be satisfied and call it a go if you could identify the state or country it is in. btw, I have been trying to steer a few hipforum users to this game which I think is a real dandy one by crossposting in young hippies. I think that, from my email to and from skip, that we could use some moderation on this thread. Someone who will make sure that a photo so obscure as scenery without any hints of where it is in the photo like my bob marley statue one be limited in time to the guessing. Otherwise people will loose interest in the game. Either that or give enough hints like what state or country so I can least look at topographical maps to locate it. Of course you post a pic of a person laying down with flowers on their chest, and I'm likely to start shoveling cyber dirt on you got home baked bread to pull outta the oven now....bye
I dunno, I'd like to see Skip get on with some open discussion on this thread. Only he can go in and edit his previous rules. I think it is a good idea to have people guessin g on only one photo at a time. But I think the rules outta allow for a ' what is it ' photo like an ole time contraption or identifying a flower like a hibiscus. I'd like to see it also include the possibility of posting a photo of someone famous down through history for identification. As far as I am concerned, and I think it is only fair for the thread to move along, there should be a time limit on guessing with the person who posts coming back and posting the answer opening it up for the next person, anybody who is first to put up another photo.......maybe 24 hours .....I dunno....just my 2 cents worth. I wouldn't mention a thing but I think this game can be developed into one of the best newsgroup games on the internet. And even has at home boardgame potentional.
so who gets to post a pic every 24 hours?? i can go for that,, so the person that stumps ya gets to post a pic every 24 hours till its easy enough for someone to recognise it?? after all that would meen they won the right to post now wouldnt it? aint that the way jepordy works ?? well trust me,, my pic is of a famous tourist attraction.. or at least its easily findable.. an a LOT of folks drive by it just to see it.. millions every year.. just cause ya are clueless is no reason to attempt change the rules.. love n light...
ya know,, the thought just accured to me.. ya could just assert free will in a public forum and start your own thread ,,with some title like,, i dunno,,," what is it",, then put yer own thoughts into it.. instead of tryin to change the rules of skips game.. an turn it into some kids game.. i feel that skip wanted tthis game to be educational and for people who remember special places.. the rogue river pic was scenery as well.. like i said,, if ya want a easier game,,perhaps ya should start yer own.. just damn.,,,,all this banter with you i havent even had time to find bilbys pic....
well if all 3 people dat view this post don't remember seeing 'this special place' but you, how long do we wait?
I'll consider going thru duh 256,000 images I googled using the word stream. Maybe you'll be alive if and when I get done, lol.
Google won't work as I changed the name of the pic before uploading it. I will give you a clue. A member of one of the most successful bands of the 60's and maybe all time lived near there.
Outta all due respect for Hillbilly and Skips rule to go at it one photo at a time, I'll have to wait for HHBs photo to be identified by him or someone else. I was guessing Vermont the other day in one of my more frustrated moments with HHB as an aside. I suppose we could all start our own separate threads with this game, our own rules and even cross reference each others similar games, I have several photos waiting. It may take a while though. Nice clue though Bilby.
man its not that hard,, its a semi famous waterfall ,the pics took from a bridge, and its within 200 miles of me.. geez you take all the fun outta the game....
If your waiting for me to guess where a bridge is with some buildiings on a mountain in the distance, you're gonna be waiting more than another 6 days since I posted the last message. So what happens now? Is it okay for someone else to post another photo or not? I'm not clear on how many days this thread has to sit dormant before anyone can post another photo.
Here is house. He passed away a couple of years ago. http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/harrison/photography/img86.jpg
