Its located between Vientiane and Luang Prabang, but not on the Mekong. Sorry if the picture is too obscure. Skip was correct in saying the lack of land marks makes it tough. If you've been to Laos, chances are, you've been here.
Kastenfrosch, Thanks for saving this thread. I felt bad for kiling it. (FYI the place I posted was Vang Vieng, Laos). Also, You might want to remove this places name in your gallery. For us "detective" types, it makes figuring out the answer way too easy. It is indeed a beautiful place; I like the detail around the windows. I'm going to guess Turkey. Drift
Oh sh*t I thought I made that stuff private and that it was invisible then... hahaha... yeah, it's yemen... it's the centre of sana'a, the capital. the buildings in other places look similar, in others people live in straw huts.
I'd seen it before in documentaries, not your gallery. OK, my turn again, yippee! You need to identify not just the place, but the plant on the right.
Either death valley or somewhere east of the Andes Mountains (i.e. that place that gets 0.02 inches of rain a year). The plant is a yucca of some form.
If I'm wrong I'm gonna be embarrased. Haleakala Crater, Maui. I have TONS of pictures of that place when me and my dad went, it looked like a dragon's hideout. Hiked for around 9 hours in there. Great place. You can't take an ugly picture there. I'm trying to remember the damn plant name... sword something... Silver Sword? If I'm right, someone else post a picture - I used to have thousands on my computer from travels, but a virus deleted every last one of them. It's too bad, but all things must pass . Luckily I think I have some of them backed up at my parent's house. I'll have to check sometime...
.....well the plant is definitely a silver sword, an since they only grow on maui and the big island of hawaii, i'd say you nailed it. crater too.
You are probably right, but since I like this game I suggest you post a new photograph to keep this thread going.
