Went to a classic car show in Fairfield, Ct. A very upscale county. Got a number of looks but survived. Attended a Bonham's auction. Didn't stay for all of it but did watched an Aston go through for $190,000 and an Isotta go through for $700,000. Not bad for barefooting nerve.

    The usual barefoot weekend:
    Saturday: unhassled barefoot shopping tour of my local mall;
Sunday: a barefoot walk around the neighboring city and going barefoot to the movies, with my fifth barefoot visit to Pandora.

Today: so far, having a barefoot and nude coffee and smoke on my balcony, looking at the stars, with Orion up in the southeast watching me. More barefooting will include my morning tour of public transport, going to the office, leaving the office barefoot after work is done and doing some more shopping in the early evening.

    Wiggling bare toes,

Always wished our phys ed classes were barefoot. The closest we came was if we forgot our sneakers. I "forgot" mine as much as possible as did one or two others. But it wasn't the same as a whole class of barefoot people.

Wandered the foresst and found many good plants. The days are blurry but substantially powerful. I wait for tomorrow what today never chanced...

It was a "comp day," where we meet at another location on the weekend for 2 hours and get to skip 2 hours of class time. We were doing sand volleyball, so I showed up barefoot. I brought along shoes, however, for horseshoes, because it was in an enclosed area with concrete, and the people in my class suck. I actually got hit by one bouncing off the ground. Had the arc been a little different and had I been barefoot, I would have had a rather severe foot injury.

I always did PE barefoot. the coach gave up "demanding" I wear shoes. he thought the mile run would do it but he was aghast I ran it barefoot without trouble. he stopped trying after that.

When I got back from school, (about an hour ago) I went for a quick walk round the block. How long does it take for your feet to toughen up? Because on the way back my feet were killing me even on just a 15 minute walk.

Went to the LA county fair barefoot. The grounds were suprisingly clean, although it was all asphalt and concrete.

Sept. 18, 2010 - the last office visit before a fully barefoot fortnight

Well, since I had some last things to do and prepare for my colleagues replacing me during the next two weeks, I met with them on last Saturday in the office... which was only half a day of office work, and barefoot on my part, too, since no bosses to bother about footwear were there to scold me. My direct superior had already wished me well for my vacation on Friday afternoon (while I was wiggling bare toes under the desk), hoping for me to relax a while and return fully energized.
Yeah, right... I guess they want to prevent another employee to suffer illness from stress and over-working (actually, one member of the middle management has fallen ill with some cardio-vascular condition, supposedly a cardiac infarction, and will be out of office for a while...). The colleague I used to work together with still is absent due to her burn-out condition (more than three months now), her return unclear and condition unknown at present.

The machine is swallowing up its own parts, it seems.

I still use my barefooting as a means to recharge my batteries before and after work, and did so on all days since winter ended... just like this example from last Thursday morning shows, when I took my time to feel rain-soaked grass beneath my bare soles:

As can be seen, fall is closing in, since there are more and more fallen leaves covering grass and concrete sidewalks. Also the weather clearly indicates it, with morning temperatures dropping below the 10°C-mark.

On Saturday, I wasn't the only one barefoot in the office, as I encountered one of the cutest female barefooters who also felt very soft and furry when I stroked her back... :D meet Laika:

One colleague had brought his beautiful dog with him, and she was roaming the office, sniffing around and greeting people with a happy air and lots of tail- wagging.

After about four hours at the office, finishing a how-to PowerPoint presentation for personnel planning and handling of a weekly incoming calls forecast table, I took the bus to the town center for the usual Saturday barefoot shopping trip. Since the weather was a little unstable, I omitted the street café visit, and went directy for the mall and supermarket and returned home with shopping bags in hand.

Just as I was about to enter the apartment house I live in, I noticed an SUV waiting at red lights, a couple sitting in it, and the female passenger was staring at me, following me with her eyes... I could see, from the corner of my eye, that her gaze was fixed on my bare feet, and so, after I had almost passed the car, I turned around to look at her face, and react depending on whatever expression she might show...
On seeing me turn and looking at her, she grinned broadly and gave me a thumb-up... well, that's a nice reaction to walking barefoot and feeling good about it. She might have caught up my good spirits there. I smiled back at her, nodded my head and went on, this being a good start for a whole of two weeks to be spent unshod 24/7.

    Wiggling bare toes,

It takes a while your feet got to build calluses up. I just started walking barefoot at the beginning of summer and they still are getting tougher. Just avoid rocks and walked on paved sidewalk or grass, the pavement will hurt for a while also walk during a hot day so your feet get hot and they will callus up more.

Yesterday I walked about a mile on a gravel trail barefoot. It was pretty intense.

Apart from work on Saturday, I hadn't wore shoes since working the Sunday before hand.
Which on that weekend I went to a festival barefoot, although I did have to steal my mates thongs to go into the bar area whenever I wanted a drink. They politely asked me just to grab some shoes the first time I went in.

But have been to university barefoot everyday for the last couple of weeks now :)
