Where are the Bats?

Has anyone noticed a lack of bats?

My sunset entertainment has long been watching our local bat population feed, but we have no bats this year. We typically have quite a number. I did find one deceased in my fireplace, but that does not account for the missing colony.

Also we have no swallows.

I am a little concerned about mosquito control in the absence of bats and swallows.

It's still too early in the year to be seeing bats here... I'll let you know.

 

While mowing the lawn I’m often entertained by an impressive air show. In the early evenings the show is equally as impressive while we are relaxing on the deck.
