I can’t help that when I here that Iron Butterfly song, I think of that movie “Manhunter” which was part of Red Dragon novels- Hannibal Lecktor being the main focal point. The serial killer in that movie “The Toothfairy”, played that song as the FBI agent Will Graham was coming to arrest him. The song was perfect to that scene.

 

Beautiful song, but doesn’t quite bring a tear to my eyes like Sinead. Ok, Prince wrote it, but Sinead captured the mood perfectly. Mally being a turd in me punch bowl, eh?

I would have like to see more bands spring up like this! As an African American, I love heavy metal and rock, and wish there was a big African American presence in that particular genre of music.

 

Yes and I love how loads of Rap artists sample Zeppelin
But in truth if you think about it African Americans started it all with the Blues and then it was Britain that picked up on it and sold it back to America !

Never heard black boys on mopeds until now, but heard 3 babies before. Beautiful songs- I appreciate her work as an artist- even though she isn’t liked by a lot of Americans because of her protest during the first Gulf War. That didn’t matter to me, though. Still love her, and would love to sit and have a glass of wine with her
