No through international relations and deplomacy and a bit of revolution i suppose..not by people thousands of miles away but people in the middle of it all...

If you wish to see the world in a negative spin fine...

It is not.. being a realist is seeing the world in all its negatives and positives..accepting things that don't hold to your way of thinking and accepting changes that happen around you.

You know, you're right, a lot of change is done through the government relations.
But, if you become part of that and work for change, is that not revolution?

Yeah..thats the kind of revolution i like ..
Sitting in the UN for 3 months bashing out treaties etc is not the 'revolution' i think most people in this thread are talking about realy, do yo ?;) .Thats being part of a system however horrid you may think it is.. Vast amounts of work go on by lets say the British goverment, with there so called 'enemy' that would make some people unhappy..unfortunatly thats the way it is.. At the end of the day even the soviets were sick and tired of it all and realy did want normal relations ...

    hi there

very true to point to certain opinions about hippies
as such, who are just following a dress trend
im here to stay as a so called hippy
i am a socialist member and run a branch in cambs uk
we are peaceful activists who helped
arrange the anti war march this year and last
with the anti war members, here and around the world.....
we have the g8 summit to attend
in scotland this summer hopefully we can show the world
    its time for change.....
and we fight for freedom and an end to capitalists
    rule.................

i see lots of young people being hippies
    and remember my teen years
and the activity i was in
the poll tax march the anti bnp march
    etc...........animal rights activity in shark
    a organisation.....
being a hippy is not just something
to look to the 60s for
long before christ began his talks
    of loving the human equal
    people have talked and taken
action to try to change this
    world for profit.....

ie this war in iraq,,, things are being done
but it takes alot to change a system
not just the government but everything
in this world is run for and by capitalists
who look for profit in any sitsuation
so yes people are doing something
    but only time will tell.
and if we change the capitalists view
we have to be open to differneces
    on this planet......
    open to change which scares
many they fear this because they have to pay bills...

and as you should know hippies get bad press
ie some of the socialists members
who were demonstrating about the pension
    problem here in uk
got arrested because they were anti social

    not true..

its part of the cover up about reality
whats really happpening in these so called
    free worlds..

    class divide
    wars
    poor schooling
    lack of good health care
    dental places
    food compaines fast food
    computers housing
    bills
on and on in a world of imperialistic FAT CATS......
    etc........

Yay i'd be ready to fight for sometin' but i am only an other hippie living off at its parents home ... If we continue like that they might say in the history books that their were a second hippie generation who did nothing except doubting of herself ...

in response to joint man, think so long as we are all part of this world i dont give a fuck how old u are so long as u know where u stand and are willing to educate yourself in the area u have all rights to bitch. also shure we may not be able to fight in large numbers(especialy at this age) but we can educate others and still voice our oppinions.
