I had a college professor in community college. He was a militant atheist. Some agreed, some didn't. But most didn't care. But some tried to convert him LOL. He shared a letter a former female student sent. "When you see a rainbow, is that not God? Is he not the soft caress of a gentle breeze on your cheek? Is he not in puppy dogs and newborn babies' smiles" etc. He read his reply: "Listen, you flaky, flaky woman..." He didn't convert any of us. He just offered his views and the evidence. So why were they trying so hard to convert him?
Militant theists and militant atheists are cut from the the same cloth, as it were. They each need to be right, for their own reasons.
