I strongly doubt Led Zep had any implicit meanings regarding Katrina when writing this song.

When you write about falling leaves does that mean you're individually foretelling every single falling leaf that will descend to the ground after you wrote your song? Hardly.

they were warning us of things to come.

if you play the song backwards, it says "katrina" over and over again

That song is almost 80 years old, it was written in 1929 by Memphis Minnie. One of the many on the long lists of artists whose work that Page and Plant took writing credit for.

lol, i don't think i was implying that led zeppein got around one night and went:

"whoa, what if a hurricane called hit new orleans, and the levee's didn't hold and the city flooded."

i was pretty stoned when i put that in, and i'm not really sure what i meant by it but i know they didn't write it over anything like that... yeah, sorry - i'm just gonna stop starting threads when i'm fucked up.

lmfao... I was going to mention that too, if anyone were going to pull a stairway again.

I once did a song and a friend ran it backwards and there were parts where it sounded like I said "I only wanted to love you" or something.... and little bits about masturbation, ahaha.

Whats even more ironic is there's a song by Tom Waits called "I Wish I was in New Orleans"
