    Rather than have this moved:

    Your daily joke thread!

    which read:

When people paid to wait on you hang up in your ear I feel like saying, when you do it for free, you can do that. But you know that's not true. People who work for charities work for free. And they never hang up in your ear. Did you ever notice that?

I'll start it as a new thread.

Yeah, people who do it for free always have time for you. They're never on their "break". They'll stay up till 3AM to help you. In the 80s, there was this priest who let bullets whiz by him, just to help poor people. Maybe if businesses hired people for free, they'd help you more. Although that is what they call an oxymoron: "hire" and "free".

I should win first prize for this one. :D
The problem when the children grow up and buy old houses that are falling apart. Our daughter asked me to do a few jobs over the weekend and the weekend lasted for 2 years.

Last year, I got a call, complaining that some equipment I built for them did not work. The fix was simple, changing a few lamps that had blown. When I reminded them that the guarantee ran out after 30 years, they did not even laugh. :(

I used to help family work cows, it costs me about $4,500.00 a year to keep and maintain my animals, and I'd help because l married into the family and not charge them but when something goes wrong and I'm there I get my ass chewed, after 45 years I said screw it NO MORE!! We haven't spoken 6 words in 6 years and I haven't missed them one. Ot
