If their views are bothering you, maybe you can talk to them about you cutting down....not smoking every day or what not? I don't know.... What I do know is there are some people that, well, we're never gonna change their views. They're gonna believe and feel the way they do and vice versa towards you or me or anyone else. So, I no longer worry about what other people think or if they approve or not- because if my mind isn't gonna be changed and their mind isn't gonna be changed, then, what's to do but not give it another thought?

i'm not interested in cutting down but i still think it would be a problem. I just don't like being accused of being an addict, even to the point of saying I should go to rehab. for years, I have been accused.

There is a marijuana anonymous but it is just like AA or NA. The same 12 steps, the same idea that you are powerless to fix yourself without a "higher power". So it does not treat weed as it should be dealt with.

If you've already tried to change their views on pot and that didn't work (which I think you have?)... then really the only thing left is for you just to let it go and try not to let it bother you.

thats great that you kept a positive attitude. i know someone who ended up in a psych ward against his will.... and ended up having fun! making friends, playing cards, thinking, sitting in the sun.... same with jail; just experienced it and had fun. i'm trying to accomplish that. had some bad times and i'm now learning you can either let them bring you down or not. people don't realize how much of it is perspective.... you gotta decide to have a good day.

When I ended up in jail two summers ago, it did suck in many ways. I did not love it. But...that said... I can honestly say I had a lot of fun and have some good memories. In the one jail I made some great friends--practiced martial arts w them and just had a great time... in the other jail I also made two great friends that I was just super silly with. I actually laughed harder and longer in jail than I had laughed for a long time. It's a perspective thing. When you gotta do something.... you either cry in the rain or dance in the rain. I chose to dance, as much as I can. :)
