Action Man was, and forever will be, utterly, completely, flamboyantly homosexual. GI Joe is the mad bomb.

They were just too big. With GI Joes, you had all kinds of cool vehicles, and they weren't impractically large, whereas with Action Man you'd need a proper hangar to store a toy plane. Also, GI Joes were more flexible - they had elbow and knee joints. They were cheaper, too, to top it off.

 

That's so Action Man could bend him over.
