When I Got To Work Tonight...

I found out that my vacation already started. I thought I worked this weekend, then my vacation started on Monday morning. I guess it started when I left work Friday morning.

Ever got to work and found out that you're off?

 

No the only thing remotely as silly that I've done regarding work is binge all day on an obscure, super potent benzodiazepine and then try to go into work that night. I lasted a few minutes before the boss called me into the office and after a brief conversation he gave me the rest of the night off.

no, not really. i've gotten to work and realized i'm not supposed to be there for another hour, but that's about the extent of that.

most of my jobs haven't had vacation time, and when they do and i actually take it, i know for days in advance when i'm not supposed to show up.

 

I once showed up to work 30 minutes prior to my start shift time.. it was insane!

I'm very meticulous about my schedule. I'd definitely know exactly when my vacation was set to begin (and end).

i use to just take the vacation pay in a lump sum every year and continue work as usual

 

I got three days off work one time because the king of Saudi Arabia died. The radio's were only allowed to play mourning music, so they couldn't announce that everything was cancelled and I showed up without knowing it.

One time I went to work and there was no cars in the lot. I go up to the door and pull. It was locked.
I went home and played on the computer still not knowing why nobody was working. Until I came across a site that mentioned it was labor day.
At the time I never really looked at the calendar. I just showed up Monday through Thursday.
There have been plenty of other times when I wasn't supposed to work yet but that was the one that stands out the most.

 

This never happened to me... because I never had a vacation.

so you must have ordered the del taco about 2 hours before work then, if you got there 30 minutes early.

 

nah i just got there 30 minutes early cuz i misread schedule.

now i get to work early some days to work on reports or eat mcdonalds when i get there
