I had been against it because my older cousin I looked up to quit high school and had smoked. So of course, it was my cousin and all of his older friends that showed me how. They all asked a hundred times if I was sure haha. It didn't effect me the first time. I fell asleep the next two times. Finally a double joint circle before class freshmen year got me.

16 on lunch break from school when we can't leave.. we jumped in the car and bounced..

two friends, who i am still great friends with, both the most goofy fuckers you would meet.. no joking.. one is a big pot grower now the other a buyer.. i was in the back seat of a 80's 4door subaru... took a few hits, felt nothing, then we walk back into school and strait to the gym to play basketball so we don't smell...lol i soon noticed that i was smiling with no control.. not laughing.. just a smile..

thankfully when the bell rang my first class was a computer class where i didn't do shit.. cause i couldn't do shit by that time..

one of the two guys still makes fun of me to this day.. i guess because how fucked i looked when i walked into the gym.. he is still and will always be very proud of the day. i have not been the same since

 

i went to a tom petty concert when I was 14 or 15 and someone passed my friend a joint. I didn't really know much about pot except what i was taught in dare so I was annoyed my friend was getting high. Then I was just annoyed at myself for being annoyed and ruining my good mood, so I figured I would hit the joint too. I didn't get high that time, a few months later that same friend decided to get me high but I didn't get high that time either. I didn't get high until like the 6th or 7th time i smoked, which also happened to be with that same friend. We were neighbors and after that we made it a frequent occurrence to sneak out and smoke in the cow field across from my house.

 

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 15 years-old and my cousin and I smoked some weed on top of a Pepsi can in his bedroom. We took hit after hit and blew the smoke out the bedroom window. After we were nice and blazed, we played Nintendo 64 and ate massive amounts of potato chips. I still felt a little altered the next morning, and I even still had the munchies. It was love at first toke:sifone:

As for people not getting high the first time(or even the first few times)............I think a lot of people just don't REALIZE they're high, because they have expectations of it being different than it actually is. People are told in D.A.R.E., and similar programs, that marijuana is bad for you and that it will make you act/feel crazy, then, when they finally smoke, they simply don't notice the effects, because it's a lot more subtle and gentle than they have been led to believe. That's just a theory, but it makes perfect sense. I mean, when someone takes marijuana smoke into their lungs, it WILL affect them, even if they don't notice it.

 

My friends smoked way before me. My first time, I was 17.

I was at my house with couple of really good stoners. We lit up on my balcony, smoked for a while. About an hour later, a bunch of cops circled my cul de sac (which was really in BFE) which made me super paranoid and certain that they knew I had smoked. Come to find out a 15 year old boy had stolen his parents car and hit an 8 year old girl in my neighborhood that afternoon, he was on the loose and they were searching for him. So I resumed smoking and erryting was iree.

 

At college when i was 18. I was always a striaght edge kid graduating high school. But first semester away from home change that.

 

Around 14/15. I grew up in a small village, so not a coffeeshop nearby. Me and my friends didn't go to the cities yet to go out or go to coffeeshops so I recall my teenage life until a year of 16 to be a bit like that group in the 70's show haha. Eager for a lot of fun but not a lot of things to do during the average week. We had one friend who's 2 years older and got a little place for himself. From then on we pretty much always sat at his house chilling :sifone: Also remember totally lame actions that were a lot of fun at the time, like insisting to smoke a joint inside the local bar and stuff (sometimes we sneaked into the bathroom there) Smoking in the bushes around the venue where something similar like a school dance was held, that has to be one of my first times too I think.

 

I didn't get high the first several times because the first time I only took a hit or two, the second time the weed was old and had been sitting in my friend's closet for a year or two (it did make my legs numb), and the 4 times after that I was trying to hit this ridiculous stand up bong but my face was too small to form a seal lol, so I couldn't get a good hit. It was really user error more so than anything in my case.

The first time I actually got high, i KNEW i was high. I turned to my friend with this huge shit eating grin and then I laughed hysterically for 30 minutes.

 

On May 1, 1971, at 9 pm, in a dorm room at MIT. I was 19.

12 yrs old at the bus stop. Many stories from age 12 to present. From various busts to starting a successful 420 business. Our generation has pretty much ran the societal / cultural path of 420 acceptance.

 

Last day of school in grade 10, from a shitty little pipe my friend had. Went to the townhouse complex behind the school and smoked in an alleyway. I guess I would have been 15.

 

Was like 14 man. New York City, Central Park, Strawberry Fields, bunch of ol' hippies.

 

lol Well, that's different, but some people smoke some good weed their first time and get good hits, and then claim that they're not high.

 

I think that sometimes people don't really know how to inhale right their first time or two, and that's why they don't get high.

i had friends who used a lot but i was busy working all the time in my teens so i never bothered with it ..never went to parties..

it gives me headaches anyway...im sensitive to smells and weed smell doesnt agree with me....even cigarettes smell get me close to puking at times

 

Around age 15 I was hanging out a friend and soon the plan was go to another friends house and smoke. He was a few years older then me, and I later figured out he was a dealer although he was low key about it and never bothered me until he knew I wanted some. I had tried weed before but it was some resin hits and I don't think I got a good one. So I was not expecting much. This stuff was chronic and I take a few hits. Nothing happens again. Some people seem to get high within seconds it has never been like that for me it takes a moment. About 5 minutes later as I am talking this wave of euphotia comes over my body. I have the urge to just lay back on the couch and I have this uncontrollable smile on my face. Everyone else in the room had smoked before so they had a good laugh at my rookie behavior. I remember blurting out that my friend liked one of the girls in the room. He didn't want her to know that but lucky he forgave me.

 

14, it was really shitty weed... I was alone and tried smoking out of an old pop can, didn't work... I was such a noob lol

Then i tried it again when i was 16, really good weed + hash, an acquaintance asked if i "blazed" i said no... he asked if i wanted to, i said of course... lol so we got high before class one day, and it was one trippy confusing day at school... He basically introduced me to weed and we became friends and then we'd smoke every week or so, whenever he brought it to school... then he introduced me to his dealer and the rest is history

 

2nd hand smoke makes me sick too..

 

I honestly hate everything about it, Of course i never tried it myself. I didn't want to relate with anyone who did it. When i was 23 things happened in my life and i broke up with my girlfriend after 5 years. I decided to party witch i had never did. Well i tried it there for the first time.

I honestly can't say it meant much at that time. It was when i tried it myself with music that i learned to enjoy it.

 

August 9th 2008 a few streets down in my neighborhood. My cousin and I then went to see Pineapple Express in theaters, I was soooo fucked up, it was amazing.
