It's more safe for everyone when it's regulated.

Less exploitation from pimps, less spread of disease, less violence because everything is off the streets.

well maybe you might think that because I'm a guy i would support but well i do but not because I'm a guy but because women should have their own choice if they want to do it then ok (by the way i have never solicited a prostitute)

It's nobody's business what a woman does with her body and if she wants to sell it, that should be her prerogative. I think if there were regulations and the women had to test clean to do it, then it's none of my business if they want to.

And Cate, I'd love to be an exotic dancer myself. I have a ghetto booty and rockin' tits and I'm proud, lol.

Not saying it wouldn't ever happen, it would still be a high risk job/activity. Always will be.

But regulation would mean harm reduction in terms of the status quo.

Thing is, if prostitution becomes legalized, more people are going to go into it as a career. People will be under the impression that with regulation there will be less risks involved, when the reality is, there are the same risks associated in having sex with total strangers.

Husbands will be paying third party persons to have sex with their wife, children, dogs, etc. like they are now, but if you legalize it that means they can all film it and make more money sexually exploiting people who need money or are too sick to help themselves.

It will then be illegal to pay someone to rape a person or "seduce" a person. Men and woman will be paid to slip drugs to people and paid to sabotage relationships. How do you establish intend if someone was paid as a job to commit some shady act?

What happens when a woman accepts the money, but gets raped? Is that a crime? Who is going to protect women when prostitution becomes legalized?

What will the going rate for a blowjob be when everything is legalized? $300? $10? How accessible is that going to be to children?

Will the men who impregnate prostitutes become legally responsible to pay child support if the industry were legalized?

sigh. Its not going to be a free for all. Legalizing something doesn't automatically alter everyone's perception on their own values. Dont act like people cant think for themselves.

What you're describing is deregulation. In other words, what takes place currently.
