I wholeheartedly support legalization of prostitution even though personally I disagree with the practice. I don't believe in loveless sex, but I do allow others to disagree. I don't judge people who sleep around because really, who says it's wrong? If they aren't hurting anybody, what's the problem? If they want to make a quick buck while doing it, I think that's completely okay. I feel a little sad that it's not worth more to them, but oh well. I don't want to do it, but I support your decision to do it. Why is this so hard for people to grasp? Why does the government feel the need to tell us what's right or wrong and not allow us to make our own decisions? What exactly are they "protecting us" from? Having to think? Having to make decisions on our own? I'm not talking about let people rape and pillage and screw little boys. I'm talking about two consenting adults doing something that ought to be totally private and nobody else's business (let alone the government's) in the first place. Somehow, "I just don't think it's right" isn't cutting it for me. It's the same argument I'm hearing against same-sex marriage and it's a royal crock.
Im all for it. Make it legal, give the ladies and men healthcare and regular checks, give em some sort of safe environment, yeah! Definitely. Legalize prostitution. Ill be the house mom. Seriously, it's the oldest trade in the book, and sex sells because sex is never going to go away. It is who we are. Regardless of anyone's opinion of the sex industry, if prostitution is legalized, it is not taboo and black market. If it is not an underground business, it is harder for women and innocent others to be in it against their will.
Um... Well I believe it's nobodys right to regulate what someone decides to do with their body. Aris made the argument that it would make a commodity of sexuality... buy no more than marriage however which is traditionally an exchange of wealth amongst families. I do however see prostitution linked to human trafficking in many parts of the world and to some extent here. Which is as despicable and evil as any act possible. So let's not get those arguments intertwined.... Even though they can easily be.
Maybe sort of straying from the point, but what's the difference between acting in a porn flick and prostituting yourself? I've never understood how one was legal and the other wasn't...
eh. I don't care what other people do. If some fat, old dude wants to stick his puny winky in some unknown chick for money, what does it have to do with me?
thats true....and if you ever want to exercise your creative nature, i think i'd make an excellent art critic
If some adult willingly wants to have sex for money, that is their choice..People do that already, they just paint a face on it and call it a "relationship.." I used bold font for those two words because they are important when talking about prostitution...
A'aight, good to see I'm not alone on this one.. Just check out the Red Light District in Amsterdam where you walk down the streets, talk to the girls, window-shop and whatnot, shit looks pretty clean and civilized to me.
And of the topic of women choosing more respectable careers.... I am from a good home. No one in my entire family line has been divorced or seperated. Everyone is well off. I live in a clean environment, and a safe community. I want to be a lawyer. But i also want to be a stripper before that. So what
