cannabis is better than alcohol now i said it but yeah, alcohol is legal, so it's more common for social situations to include/revolve around it. alcohol often coincides with "going out" so that's how i answered the question. but i suppose my ultimate scene would be a weed bar located somewhere with kick-ass scenery. or maybe a music festival where someone is giving out good lsd. now that's my scene!
i've been there once, maybe twice for dinner. i didn't like it all that much, but they do have an extensive beer menu. little too classy for me though. like my one friend said in reference to 1 of the 2 dive bars in our town "if i can spit on the floor, it's not my kinda place!" seriously though, i like a nice place sometimes. but i get a little bit of a snobby vibe from old toad. "ooooh, we're english"
I hate this thead, mainly because every time I see the title I think of 'Dancing Queen'. And that is not a good thing.
Some people appreciate true artists and don't jump on the bandwagon of the newest media hype. Dave has been rocking since 1966, he introduced Dylan's All Along the Watchtower to Hendrix then played 12 string with him on Hendrix's version. He played on Beggar's Banquet, and All Things Must Pass, co-founded Traffic, played with Delaney and Bonnie along side Eric Clapton and George Harrison, was the original 2nd guitarist for Derek and the Dominos and was a member of Fleetwood Mac. He had a number of hit singles and played on many other rock albums. He's a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And he was a roadie for The Spencer Davis Group! Why wouldn't I go see him?
^This. I dig places that play live music where I can see my friends play, cheer and sing when a band plays an uncommon song and dance around tables when I feel like it. I like basement pubs or heritage homes pubs. But good beer is essential. As far as I can remember I've always loved house parties, bush parties and keggers. Any party that has a bonfire is win. The clubs that I've been to as of late, are more indie clubs where they play retro music on Sundays or there's an older crowd with a sportsman bar and cougar vibe. LOL.
Is the bowling alley that sells fruity bitch beers a scene? We don't go there a whole lot, but it's a good time every time we do. We hang out at our own house or our friends' house when we wanna get high. Our bowling alley in town kicks so much ass, though. It was built about 8 years ago and they've got a restaurant with the best steaks I've had around here. And my favorite restaurant is this little grill that a friend cooks at, it's got a nostalgia theme to it and the food just kicks so much ass.
Friday nights find me at Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge. It's a small pub, narrow but long from front to back. There is a tiny stage all the way in the back. There are about four tables very close the stage, with three more tables all the way in the back. There's a fantastic waitress named Madigan who knows what I like. They have a couple of dozen of interesting beers on tap and half of them are on a rotation. They have a small menu of tasty items, including the best chocolate pudding I've ever tasted. Every Friday night, the Tim Gearan Band plays. They usually start around 10:40, altho it's advertised as 10:00. The cover charge is $7. In my humble opinion, this band is better than anything on radio and better than 80% of what The Rolling Stone considers good. I'm so lucky to have found a local band that thrills me. Most of the people who come love the band and quiet down once the band starts playing. The pub removes the tables right in the middle, so people can dance. There isn't much room, but it gets exciting. So, around 10:30, I slip out and walk around the corner and smoke a bowl of Blue Dream. So, I am in a wonderful state as the music begins and I am usually sitting about six feet from the band, drinking Brooklyn Lager, usually. The band consists of Tim Gearan, songwriter, singer, and electric guitar; Lou Ulrich, bass; Sean Staples, mandolin; Scotty Aruda, trumpet; Paul Ahlstrand, sax; Russell Chudnofsky, slide guitar; Andy Plaisted, drums. They definitely play my kind of music, part blues, part rock, part Americana, part country. They play two sets, ending around 1 am.
Let's see...I like parks and cafes. I like gay clubs and/or electronic music clubs. I also frequent a poolhall where there's lots of gambling. I also like a dive bar. Just keep me away from pretentious straight bars/clubs and restaurants, pleeeease.
i don't go out much anymore when i do go out, you'll usually find me in a forest trippin my balls off or at a close friend's house, lol. I don't really kick it anywhere public.
I like hanging with the psychiatric ward crowd.Did 3 grams of coke with a friend the other night.Pretty much a waste of time.I also like to visit art galleries.I also like the supermarket.
