This could EASILY be your life if it werent for us people who are (and were) willing to put our lives on the line. Yes, I protected our government. It is our government that allows you to live the life you lead now. You could have a miserable existance as many around the world live every day. Do I agree with everything the gov does? HELL NO! Is it perfect? AGAIN...HELL NO! There is no entity or person in this universe that I will agree with 100%. Is our government the best sytem in the world? HELL YES! It has flaws, but every other gov existing in this world has MANY more. I will fight. I will die. I have no problem with that. I will do this so that you can keep your lifestyle. Burn your flag, but dont do it in front of me.

Ha! Canada is a joke. I was born 15 miles from the border and have spent a LOT of time there. Talk with Canadians. A lot of them keep dual citizenship with the US because they cant count on their own government to provide them with what they need. They get taxed to hell for free health care. I can get a lot of shit for free that doesn't work. There are people waiting for over a year to get a transplant. It's free, so get in line and WAIT. You may die while you are waiting, but it's "FREE".

Canada has this habit of kicking lower class people out of their cities so they will look better. Toronto bulldozes slums to build modern, pretty buildings. It is a pretentious government with no real influence. Yes, I was a Poly Sci major before engineering. Yes, I did study governments of all types throughout history. Canada is very similar to the historic French governments that all FAILED. They are the model for what NOT to do in the future.

 

Also...no one FED me anything. No one brainwashed me. I have felt this way my whole life. I VOLUNTEERED. My mind was made up well before I signed those papers and took my oath. My views on government, religion, etc are all from research and observation. I disagree with my whole family on almost everything. I made up my OWN mind despite influence to the contrary. I'm too damn stubborn to think the way people instruct me. It doesn't show, does it????LOL

I admit, they do brainwash during training, ESPECIALLY marines! I was willing to die for me country BEFORE any sort of training. I signed 2 days after desert storm started. I wasn't a peace time enlistment. I signed to go over and take care of the people that were being tortured and killed by a ruthless tyrant. No one deserves that life.

Flag Burning is a stunt.
