  1. Found another piece of information on hate speech.
    Hate Speech and Hate Crime

It's interesting to note that not many people accept diversity.

Did you ever stop to think that some people love their country so much that they are willing to risk public ridicule, etc. to bring attention to certain matters?
Do you realize flag burning is recognized as free speech under the laws of the United States and if you oppose it, you are the one who doesn't respect the law?

    And how is it racist?

Flag burning in Iowa law is Disorderly Conduct . I received such a charge , and the judge was embarrassed . With
that for justice I paid the fine gleefully . I know ... I'm too easily gratified . Make the fuckers cry .

Burning something is even less than a free speech threat. You would need to prove in court it meant I plan to hurt you as opposed to actuly saying you will hurt someone.

It's all proving intent which is why the Alt-right nationalist patriotism people get away with that they do. It's all "free speech" and you just decided it was something evil. Well to use their logic how many people burn flags anyway? So why even concern yourself with what they do? What is so wrong about a people coming together and deciding to unite for their people? It's not violent and it hurts no one and you wish to take their pride away.

People would get violent with over this topic before others like homelessness, healthcare, or education. For some reason this cloth is so good you can't admit that we fail in these areas. It means you are not Amerasian.

With this attitude no one would have declared war on England. It's very rude to disrespect the country that gave you everything. No, you owe the man god appointed more respect than that. King George's image is not to be
besmirched and his army not harmed.

In our American Baptist church sanctuary fly two flags .Above them on the wall is a cross with 3 circles .
    Cheezus Crackers !

  6. It's racist because it tells us that people who live in the country want to ruin that country's people, culture and beliefs.
    It's anti diversity behaviour.
If you were on fb and burnt your own country's flag you would be known as a social caste.
    Hate speech is not on.
    It's hate speech buddy.

  7. Also someone might come up to you personally as your skin colour, cultural differences, language, etc are all different to their own. They might decide to burn your country's flag. Therefore it's racist because you aren't being accepted for who you are. It's a hate crime.

The gesture only has meaning if you let it. I would support a lot of racist things being more clearly labeled. But there is a history of protest with flag burning. Some protest is for racial hate, most of it is not. I don't think it's wise to censor this kind of free speech. Your society then goes in the direction of no discussion since it's so rude to have the discussion.

Isn't speech verbally produced? Someone burns a flag first thing that comes to mind is they're having a bad day. I don't even see it as a statement. It's a flag. You burn a flag and what? Think you're damaging a nation or something, or making a big statement?

  10. It's also actions speak louder than words.
If somebody hates you they will do almost anything to cut ties with you.

Racism is about the belief that one "race" or group of people is superior to another.

How do you link every flag burning to that?
How is every flag burning anti diversity?
    Who care about Facebook?
What does "Hate speech is not on" mean?

Interesting. So if I enslaved people of a different skin color to me, but only because I needed shit done around my house, that wouldn't make me racist because there's no superior race agenda, I just need some wheat fielded and I can't do that on my own so I need slaves.

Really? I'm in the U.S. and this country has people of many different skin colors, sub cultures, languages, etc. So our flag represents everybody.

I have no idea what country you're from.

    Interesting.
Why would you choose someone of a different skin color?

  17. Say you went up to @ZenKarma and started abusing him about his beliefs, his country, his culture.
That is hate speech. It's not on. It's nasty. It's bullying somebody because they are different to you.

Diversity means to include everyone no matter what their circumstances are.
You might happen to see somebody from another country and they don't speak english that well.
You befriend them to help them find places.
You also take them to different places and interpret for them.
People come from all walks of life. They don't need to be racially abused, Sexually abused, abused because of a disability they might have, etc.
They come to seek acceptance for who they are.

    Free Speech is positive.
    Hate Speech is fucking disgusting.
If you burnt somebody's country flag then you are encouraging hate speech.

    I dunno. I found them? :p
Just hypothetical. But I mean, some races of people were enslaved based on their physical attributes to do work so if a white man says "I can't do this work, enalve someone else who can" then aren't that theoretically acknowledging that the other race has better attributes and at that point is the white man racist against white people?

  19. Because people do this.
I've seen on tv a few times indigenous cops attack non indigenous people.
Skin colour is always part of hate speech.
It's about a person and how they appear to you.

Where i live in Australia there are Sudanese people who are living here too.
I accept them for who they are. They don't bother me one bit.
However, if somebody is upset at being around a sudanese person and is racist towards them it all becomes ugly.

There is a big stigma around people who are different to each other.
It involves ignorance which is not a nice word to use.

Free Speech is not hate speech mate.

You simply can't go around calling people who are different to you insulting names.

I'm from australia you're from the usa.
There is no way in hell that i'd use words that would be hateful and horrid about you.

  20. I've seen things that have happened to people who were in the Holocaust which was a war between Germany and Israel.
Even have been to the muesum in Melbourne.
Don't know if you have watched a movie called Schindler's list before @MeAgain but really you probably should.
You will certainly get what i mean when it comes to racism and burning flags.
Don't think you would like being put into a gas chamber because you were jewish.
