Red Velvet Cake with Cheese Cream Icing is my all time favorite.... I do also love a good, homemade Carrot Cake with Cheese Cream Icing..... Mmmm, I want cake.
Sacher (all time favorite, it's really the best) and Dobos, my grandmother used to make it often, now that she's very old - not so much
Piaf, that looks amazing. I love a good rich, decadent chocolate cake. Ina Garten's classic recipe is a no fail. Also love carrot cake, no raisins please.
Oh yeah, carrot cake is also great. Not very popular here, but I always make sure I have it when I'm in Switzerland. Rüeblitorte, that's their thing.
Have you had Sacher cake? It's really good. Chocolate with apricot jam layer. Does anything bad ever come from Vienna?? lol And Dobos is Hungarian, but it's very popular here. Maybe not so much with younger generations though. Anyways, I keep seeing red velvet cake. Never tried it. The red is just food coloring??
Schwarzwalder kirsch. Moccha. And monchou are my faves. I think i answered this question the same years ago in a similar thread! These are just so good
I loved my grandmother's cakes too. One made Sour Cream Pound Cake and Strawberry Poke Cake The other one made Coconut and Yellow with Chocolate Icing. Each of those was 5 layers! The chocolate icing had so much sugar in it that it was crunchy.
Red Velvet Cake, rainbow cake and German Chocolate. I love DQ ice cream cakes. I love cheese cake but thats a more of a pie. Do Pancakes and funnel cake count?
Do brownies count? Other than that, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Or chocolate cake with strawberry frosting.
Oh man! Too many to mention! Like to keep a stock of different cakes in the freezer wrapped in 2 portion packages. Just made a banana loaf and carrot and orange cake yesterday so they are my favourites this week
