Summer Solstice b/c it marks the beginning of summer (duh), which happens to be my favorite season. Besides...there's no school.
i feel so alone, never having done pot before. it brings me sadness,as it seems like i'm missing out on something valuable and fun. BUt my fave holiday is without a doubt Halloween. Just something about everyone trying to be scary and disturbing that entertains me. I of course, rarely have to try to scare the shit out of someone, but it's fun to dress up ( which i do at regular intervals throughout the year anyway). And candy. I really like candy. It's like a rainbow...for your mouth!
shit, you're gonna make me chose? Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter are about equal for importance to me and my family and then of course ya got yer May Two-Fer and Labour Day weekends, the party weekends
It should conincide with 420 but it does not. A little know holiday is MARIJUANA FOUNDERS DAY. It is always celebrated the day before Thanksgiving. So the story goes, These 3 native Americans were smoking their peace pipe and they were joined by a group of pilgrims. From there the story get a little foggy because they did some peyote and then had some big Indian group orgy. Not sure how much of the story is factual but it's one I chose to hold dear to my heart. Keep the fire burnin.
August 1st. Jerry Garcia was born that day. I celebrate by listenning to live dead/jgb/garcia grisman...etc all day long and I eat chili dogs.
mine used to be Christmas, but my mother managed to ruin that holiday for me forever...long story... so now, I just like Halloween too, because there are no expectations, and you can just have FUN! I went to a really fun Halloween party last year, my first in many years and had a blast. I dressed as Sponge Bob Square Pants and people spent the night autographing my box (the costume) and hotboxing poor bob. It was a riot! This year I'm going as Martha Stewart, in prison garb, tailored of course. My friend Kara is going as my groupie, who will be wearing a Free Martha Stewart t-shirt and handing out flyers... I don't go out for New Years...haven't had many dates since the divorce, so just don't bother. I'd just as soon stay home and watch the ball drop in Times Square. Funny how holidays are different though now that my daughter has moved out to attend university in another city...
