It's weird. The only cereal I like is bran flakes. I eat cereal like a 90 year old

The other day I ate 5 pieces of bacon and a slice of buttered Ezekiel bread for breakfast and I was good to go the rest of the day. I didnt want to eat again until dinner

Two eggs sunny side up, two strips of bacon, one slice of buttered whole wheat toast, hash browns, black coffee. Every damn day. It's just easy.

One of my favorites; whole wheat potato cakes with sorghum syrup.
~1 cup yesterday's mash (my mate's routinely includes potatoes, turnips, sometimes rutabagas, and herbs). Hand mashed and left a bit chunky; not pureed into babyfood.
    ~equal amount whole wheat flour.
    1 egg.
    Wee bit of baking powder.

THEY JUST STARTED PICKING OUR LOCAL STRAWBERRIES YESTERDAY!
They're huge and sweet as sugar candy; obviously a great year for strawberries!

If I'm feeling fancy, I bread them in finely chopped pecans before frying.

When you buy breakfast cereal, you are paying for air. For a family on a tight grocery budget this is insidious malnutrition.
