Can't you hear me knockin' - one of the very greatest moments of rock! Listen to the groovy free jazz section in the end! It's mind-blowing, and what's more, probably completely spontaneous!
hey man, trying to pick a favourite rolling stones jam is like trying to pick a favourite beatles song you know. there's obviously three era's of the rolling stones: the brian jones era, the mick taylor era, and the ronnie wood era. so the most swingin era of the stones is without question the brian jones or mick taylor era. the rolling stones are my favourite band of all-time so i mainly listen to b-sides like "Memo From Turner," or lesser known album tracks like "the singer not the song," "doncha bother me," "jigsaw puzzle [nicky hopkins' piano work is far out on this man]" "salt of the earth," "parachute woman," and practically anything off the baroque pop of Between the Buttons like "connection," "something happened to me yesterday [a groovy song about coming down on lsd]" and "cool, calm, & collected." as you can see man, i'm a brian jones guy.
beast of burden or shes a rainbow, for sure. those were me and my daddy's songs back in the day, when he still drove me to school.
