Whats your favorite horror movie? Mine is a toss up between The Exorcist and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
    Some other favorites:
    High Tension
    Jeepers Creepers
    Saw
    The Haunting (1963)
    An American Werewolf in London
    House of 1000 Corpses
    The Devils Rejects
    Friday the 13th 1-5
    A Nightmare on Elm Street
    Wes Cravens New Nightmare
    Scream 1 & 2
    Ginger Snaps 1-3
    Ju-on
    The Ring
    Premonition
    Night of the Living Dead
    Dawn of the Dead
    Land of the Dead
    Black Christmas

Theres just so many. But these are a rough list of good ones, IMO, off the top of my head.

I thought the remake was pretty damn good too. Doesnt beat the grainy realness of the original though.

The second Evil Dead and Evil Dead: Army of darkness, but that isn't really a horror anymore. I'm not very fond on horror movies.

    Exorcist III - Legion

I know nobody's seen it, but dammit I'm gonna keep posting it in all these "favorite horror movie" threads! Not a lotta gore or scares (til the end), just some fantastic acting & tense dialog. (George C. Scott, Brad Dourif)

The day of the living dead was my first and I finally got stuck on Freddie Nightmare on Elm street is the best. Only the first one the once that followed ruined the movie.

You are not alone...I saw it years ago for the first time and thought that it was far better than the first...I was beginning to think that I was the only one who had seen it...:) ...wasn't my favourite horror film though...The Grudge was pretty good, better than The Ring, Saw II is released on the 18th of October, and I am sceptical as to whether it will be as good as the first...The element of surprise will be lost this time....The horror genre on the whole holds little fear for me knowadays, i have seen sooooo many Horror films that I have become immune...It would take something really original to get a fright out of me now...I prefer factual documentaries on the Paranormal now to try and spook me...Until I see something concrete though caught on film...I shall remain unmoved...
