sushi deli in san diego for lunch, Seau's in San Diego for happy hour (desserts are awesome too) and Adladin's for dinner omg the new neightbors are fighting so bad
shit. it's not the neighbors...it's like 4 houses down. I think it's the bitchy woman that sits in a lawn chair on the sidewalk while her son mows the lawn and husband washes the car. She yells at her son all the time too-in the front yard...ot's like come on lady. I know Andy thinks I imagine all of this, but I keep the windows and blinds open and the tv off usually when he's not home so I hear stuff he doesn't.
Subway for sure. And I like this little chinese resturant we have about 30 minutes away called PoPo, it has the best satay chicken I've ever tasted
a sushi place nearby, haiku - great happy hour and really nice staff polvo's - great food and awesome margaritas tong's thai in san antonio la scala in san antonio has amazing italian, though it's a splurge the best sushi i have had in austin was at uchi... world class chef, ridiculously expensive... but heavenly best cheap place? p.terry's... has a drive thru and makes amazing veggie burgs with home grown tomatoes.
Shit. I don't know how I could have forgotten that one. I eat there at least once a weekend, know all the staff by name, and man... Hashbrowns scattered smothered covered... all a man needs.
I have a feeling if you and I ever meet, it will be in a Waffle House. Because you know what...that's truly my favorite restaurant. :cheers2:
last time i was at waffle house i puked behind a dumpster. also twice in the bathroom. not waffle house's fault though.
A small spanish tapas in Maida Vale in London. Great wine, good music and I used to go there very regularly with a wonderful woman. I always think of nights at that place, when asked about good meals.
La Viola in Philly. It's a BYOB Italian fine dining joint. Jules' Bistro in NYC. It's a French resto that plays live jazz. Joe Kool's. It's a sports bar that's been around before I was born and makes some of the best bar food I've ever had. Little Beaver. Dive resto with local cabbage roll meals, homemade pie, best eggs benedict, and specials. West Side Diner. 24 hour breakfast mom & pop's place. Aladdin's. Lebo chicken shawarma place. I like the fallafel wraps. Ben Thanh. Viet-Thai place, pricey, large meals, no MSG, but the best bubble tea.
I think my best dining experiences were mostly spent at "Betty's", an old style Cafe franchise in Yorkshire England that employs really gorgeous waitresses with gorgeous Yorkshire accents. The coffee is divine, the bacon is perfect, the scrambled eggs are drenched in butter, the cakes beautiful, the atmosphere lovely, and they are usually located in attractive market towns like York.
I have heard of Cheddars before, we have one here but have never been. I should try it sometime. I think my favorite place is Yatosuba in Ann Arbor, best sushi. I also think it depends on my mood what is my fave place to go.... This was a fun thread.... getting to see what people like.
